This painting is dedicated to Rene Buteau who was a relative of our family.  Rene was a man who devoted his life to his family. But his passion was wildlife, fishing, hunting, and his farm, outside of Brooks, Alberta.
In this painting the Bald Eagle represents venture and bravery which were in Rene's character. The Falls are called the " Old Man Falls " It's in the Beaver Mines area. 

This is " Rene' Retreat ".
" Rene' Retreat " was one of the top paintings in the 1995 Ducks Unlimited Art Competition.
The painting is 22" x 28", Mixed on paper.
