This 16" x 20" drawing of Matt Keetley of
the Medicine Hat Tigers of the Western Hockey League, was done for the
passion that I have for this sport. Like I've said before, goalies
are my favorite subject to draw and paint. When ever I get the
opportunity to go and watch a hockey game, whether it be the pros or
the minors, it's such a thrill to observe the goalies movements and
rituals. I really look for an un characteristic pose
of a goalie. Alot of goalie pictures that we see now a days lean
towards a normal stance. If I can get a shot of a goalie
literally
standing on
his head, I'm sure that would be my next painting or drawing.
I've
been taking pictures and sketching poses of Matt for a couple of years.
Now with the help of my photographer
friends
Dave McGuire and Steve McSweeny of MC Images, I finally have something
put together for the world to view. I hope
you enjoy it.
